"Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Pump-It-Ups"
Ah, 'twas a lovely sunny day, and I was in Brighton for the day. Started off well, got on the coach, stopped off at the motorway services to grab a bite to eat. They had an internet payphone there, so I left the Team Bemani page up for all to see. :-) After getting into Brighton, the first stop was the Pier. They had 2 EuroMIX cabinets there. Frankly, I'm getting a bit bored with this one. I done one round of maniac doubles (Afronova, Captain Jack & Stomp To My Beat).
The good time came when I went down to the seafront promenade below the Pier. We had Aladdin's Arcade with a PIU Prex machine, and the Albion Amusements with another one. It was at the Albion Amusements where a rather large crowd gathered and cheered me playing! I have to admit, I was only on Hard Mode (due to the fact this was only the 2nd time I've ever played PIU!) but managed to impress them with Pierrott, Beethoven's Virus (twice) and Take On Me.
Sadly, these were the only machines that I actually played. I didn't have time to play the other machines I found in West Street, but added them to the arcade finder anyway. :-)
It's a BIG shame that there aren't any Pump It Up machines closer to Clacton, otherwise I might actually be able to play Crazy and Double. I think it's also fair to mention that the only DX cabinet was in the West Street arcade.
I probably won't be playing the machines for a while (at least until the novelty of ADSL wears off). There's absolutely no challenge left in any of the machines nearby. 3DDX, Dancing Stage, Ez2Dancer....... I can clear everything on those. But PIU? I wanna be able to clear all the Crazy Mode songs! Hopefully a local arcade will read this, then you never know......... ;-)
