Two
'New' Machines Hit Town
3rd April 2002
Clacton-On-Sea has not long received two new cabinets. The first machine is basically a brand spanking new EuroMIX cab. This one is internet challenge enabled, which means we've got 6 more songs on the carousel. My personal favourite is Love This Feelin' by Chang Ma, mainly coz it's the only one on the machine with a tempo change. It's great watching people freak out at that point! Being a new machine, the pads are very responsive and makes Afronova Expert Double a sheer pleasure to play. Just glide over the pad and it activates. I even got AAA on it today! That hasn't happened for ages!
The next new machine is Ez2Dancer: 2nd Move. This little baby is on the Pier, so plenty of opportunities to show off and draw a crowd. Which I did do. Nothing too fancy, mind. I'm not a freestyler, but I did do a bit of 'street style' to make people think I could do more. ;-)
There was only one problem on this machine, though. The 'Real Mode' is locked in some sort of internet challenge mode. You HAVE to do the 3 set songs in non stop order. This is a bit unfair, especially if you wanted to do 'The Rhythm' (in which SMF and I look as if we are humping the machine, very funny routine).
I've written the reviews for these two machines in our reviews section. Also, don't forget that the 'all songs' code for 2nd Move is totally different. It's a bit easier to put in, but is a bit tempremental on this machine here.
Hopefully we will be having a bit team meeting soon. As soon as it happens, I'll write you a report. Take care now, bye bye then.
