WHEN THE RIGHT STUFF HITS SHIT Posted here 23rd September Tue Sep 10, 1:18 PM ET

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - Detectives are investigating a complaint that
retired astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin punched a man in the face after being asked to swear on a Bible that he'd been to the moon.
Officers were called to the Luxe Hotel on Rodeo Drive Monday and took a report from Bart Sibrel, 37, who said the former Apollo 11 astronaut had
attacked him.
Aldrin, 72, had left the hotel when police arrived around 4:30 p.m. and was not interviewed, said Beverly Hills Police Lt. Joe Lombardi.
Sibrel, of Nashville, Tenn., said he doesn't believe Aldrin or anyone else
has ever walked on the moon. He said he was trying to confront Aldrin about his 1969 lunar mission when he was punched. Video of the punch aired
Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America."
An early morning telephone call left at the office of Aldrin's publicist was not immediately returned.
ARTHUR'S COMMENT: If you were 37 years old, would you admit to
being 'attacked' and beaten up by a pensioner or would you prefer to 'forget' the
incident? But we are talking about the United States here. LA
police advised that they were closing the case, but I would not be
surprised if the sad sack of shit that is Mr Sibrel will have, nay,
demand his day in court so he can bring to the world's attention his
claim of the Man on the Moon hoax. Of course Mr Sibrel could be on a
bit of a sticky wicket here - stalking is an offence in some US states
including California. Mr Sibrel had been stalking Aldrin for sometime
before this event occurred. Oh, and by the way, Sibrel apart from being
a complete kook describes himself as a TV producer, so do not be
surprised that he would take this opportunity to sell ("..sell,
sell, sell..") his TV production about, yes, you guessed it, how
the Moon landings were all totally faked.

Sibrel's story: "I walked up to him [Aldrin] on
the sidewalk and put a Bible up to him and asked him to swear on
the Bible that he actually walked on the Moon." Sibrel
continued, "He refused to do it so I told him he was a thief
to take money for giving an interview on something he didn't do
That's when he hit me and ran off across the road."
Arthur's comment: Was
this a chance meeting? No! Aldrin had been lured to the hotel to
give an interview for Japanese television and was repeatedly poked
in the face by the knuckle dragging redneck Sibrel before hitting
the film 'producer' in the face.
It is claimed that Sibrel had
"aggressively confronted" Aldrin and his step daughter
and he had "physically blocked" the exit. Strangely a TV
crew were present to record every moment of the interview! Yes,
and Sibrel is going to have his day in court as conjectured
by myself in the original report.. |
