Welcome to the Aberdeenshire Munch homepage...

The next munch will take place on Saturday June 13th 2009.

The Aberdeenshire Munch takes place in Aberdeen on the second Saturday afternoon of each month and runs from 2.00pm through to around 6.00pm or whenever the last person decides to leave. The next munch will take place on Saturday June 13th in Club Sapphire on Ship Rowin the city centre of Aberdeen. The munch dresscode is vanilla/streetwear.

For those who don't know, Ship Row is just off Market Street just off Union Street which is the main shopping precinct in the city centre of Aberdeen and is very close to both the train station and bus station. There is also a pay and display car park a few minutes walk away on Southsilver Street which runs down the side of the Music Hall a bit further along.

Once inside we will be easy to find we will have a bear on the table.

Any nervous first timers should contact us for a slighty earlier meet and greet, you can email us at aberdeenshiremunch2@yahoo.co.uk

In the meantime, please join our Forum and introduce yourself and get to know the folks who attend the munch and others who are also interested in attending.

What is a Munch?

Simply put, a munch is a gathering of people who are interested in BDSM. Munches generally take place in bars. Therefore, due to these being public places people are encouraged to attend wearing regular streetwear. Munches tend to have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in which attendees talk about diverse subjects ranging from the weather, world news and current affairs right through to their favourite pieces of bdsm equipment. Munches are an excellent place to meet new friends and acquaintances and get an idea of what's going on in the club scene or just chill out and relax with people who share similar interests to you.

Munches are not pick up joints and you will not be brow-beaten into giving your life story or level of bdsm experience when you join someone's company. In fact, it's highly probable that you'd get through an entire munch without anyone being rude enough to ask if you're sub or Dom/me. Most people who attend a munch for the first time have a great time and frequently highlight that they wished they'd gotten off their backsides and attended one sooner. See you at the munch.
