The longest running regular poetry event in Berkshire, created by the marvellous Susan Utting in the mid-'90s,
is currently being organised, hosted and compered by A. F. Harrold.

In the summer of 2005 it moved to a new, slightly larger venue, with comfortable seats, several toilets, subdued lighting, a stage
and the same high quality poetry, in the form both of the open mic and the specially invited guest poets.

Poets' Cafe is held at South Street Arts Centre, South Street, Reading on the third Friday of every month.
Doors open at 8pm, poetry begins at 8.30.
Entry fee is £6 for normal people or £4 for concessionary people and poets.

Here's a review/feature by the BBC about Poets' Cafe, just in case I've not given a true picture of it myself here.
