Diary Day 6

8 o'clock start this morning, and into the showers (sam taking the record at 23 mins). We arrived at church for 9AM for a practice and to prepare for the service, which started at 10AM. James "Jim" Perkins, Helen Inglesby, Jon Harper and Katie Wilkes all participated in the service, and selected members of the concert band were also involved with the musical setting of the service. After the service, we and several other families went 'Snow Tubing' a short distance outside of Chelmsford, which was cold and wet and fun (not necessarily in that order). For those who are not enlightened, snow tubing is the winter pursuit which involves hurling yourself down a snow covered hill on a rubber ring. After our time was up, we headed back for tea (or dinner, as the americans call it).Which was very nice. In the evening, we were accompanied to the movie picture house by Mikey C, Richy Hand and their host family to see 'Hitch'. Which was also nice. We are about to go to bed. With Monty Python, as we couldn't get the VCR working yesterday. Goodbye.
