Diary Day 9

Our final 6:30 start to the last full day, woken up by Hobbsy scurrying around in the undergrowth of the by now very messy room. We were again dropped off at church for breakfast, and were taken to the high school for a tour. We had lunch there, and also took a little time out to listen to the junior band play. From here we went straight to the final venue, which was the senior centre nearby. The concert here was good, and the audience was very enthusiastic (as all the audiences have been). The evening was spent with our host family (the Turocys). We went shopping (again - Sam was determined to spend every penny of the money he brought) and also had dinner at Pizza Hut. At the batting cages nearby, Andy Turocy, who is on the school baseball team, taught us all how to bat, and to finish the evening off, we went to a college basketball match. It was a very close match, the deciding points scored in the last 5 seconds, by the University of Massachusetts, who we went to support. We came back to pack our cases, and finally managed to watch Monty Python!!!!! We're now in the middle of the final pool tournament - it's 11:50 PM and the final is between Craig and Hobbsy (sam insists on it being known that he could have kicked our backsides any day) . . . goodnight.
