It was May of the first year and Craig had informed us of an organised trip to Tall Trees near Middlesborough (£20 entry, free drinks and return coach). We got ready and in due course made our way down to Wearmouth car park. Seated comfortably in one of the Uni minibuses we were just pulling off to meet Craig at Clanny when we spotted Neil’s mum’s Citroen AX 1 litre in maroon arriving in the car park. As we glanced across we could see this women of, well, Chinese origin driving the AX. “Ehh Chubs’ mum is Chinese.” Hence the birth of Neils Chinese mum!
