The kitchen bin had a tendency for being emptied on a monthly basis, but it would be unfair to suggest that all the lads were lazy…we’ll not mention names. But it was desperate, this tiny bin (£23.50/week) would fill up before the litter would sprawl up onto the work bench and all over the floor. There was even one point where you couldn’t see the floor for Skip packets! Eventually the bin bag would be tied up and discarded in the downstairs hallway, where it would sit for another three weeks….festering with the discarded shoes behind the door!
