THE FACTORY

single a and b side, 1967

When I Was An Apple, Smile Let Your Life Begin

Crackly but amazing (and very rare) copy of single by The Factory, for some reason not issued on Lightning Rod Man.

Encore Performance

Studio Demos, 1971

Cat Fever, Hamburger Midnight

Two early demos by the 4-piece band.

BONNIE RAITT with LOWELL GEORGE, JOHN HAMMOND and FREEBO

Lucky Strike

1973, studio

No 1 (One Day Five Months Ago), No 2 (Feels Good), No 3 (Fancy), No 4 (Stu), No 5(Gengis), No 6 (Conquistadores '74), No 7 (Stacy), No 8 (I Can Hear the Grass Grow)

This claims to be an unreleased Little Feat album from 1971. Bullshit. It's jazz drummer Chico Hamilton's 1973 album "The Master" in inferior sound quality. Hunt down the legitimate release, it's actually a pretty good album. Musicians are Chico Hamilton: drums, LG: slide guitar, PB: guitar, BP: piano, SC: percussion, KG: bass, Sam Niva: congas, Stu Gardner: organ, Jerry Aeillo: organ.

"Texas Studio Demos"

1973, studio

Long Distance Love, Lafayette Railroad, Eldorado Slim

There's no real evidence that these were recorded in Texas. Hissy but excellent early acoustic demo of Long Distance Love, plus fragmented band demo of Lafayette Railroad and a live version of Eldorado Slim (different than the more common Aurora Backseat version, probably in from Texas, and probably 1971).
