A Sisters of Mercy bootleg described as "The Unofficial Theme To Angel Heart" was released in
the distant past by "Big Jesus Ltd."
According to SOM expert and collecter extraordinaire
Uncle Sister, the rumours are as follows:
Whoever created this highly unusual item was a big fan of both the Sisters and Angel Heart.
The Sisters were pencilled in to have a song on the soundtrack, but of course they didn't;
so the bootlegger took the initiative and created this single.
Whilst the first part sounds entirely plausible, the second seems a bit far fetched.
However, because it sounds so great, this website will not entirely rule out the possibility
of it being true: unless Alan Parker or Andrew Eldritch personally deny it.
Which almost certainly won't happen.
If anyone can throw any further light on this, please
contact me.
For any Sisters fans interested, the A side is the "Good Things" Demo (1982), and the B side
is Jolene, recorded live at the Brixton Ace 26/03/1983.
Anyone who foolishly believes that the Sisters were an eighties goth band should learn the
shocking truth.
