| Born on Feb, 1976. I had quite an amazing experience in my childhood. For most of my early years, I lived in Colaba one of the original seven islands that Mumbai was made of. Located on the southern tip of Mumbai. The Gothic architecture and the red buses are strangely similar to that of Central London. I was born in a place called the Colaba Wood House Road. History has it, that Gerald Aungier, a British officer took possession of Colaba in 1675, during which the development of these areas took place. In 1743, Colaba was leased to a Richard Broughton for Rs. 200 per annum, a lease that was renewed in 1764. As one moves south along the Lower Colaba Road, there is a basalt church with a lofty limestone facade. The church was begun in 1847 and was dedicated to St. John the Evangelist. The church, now known as the Afghan Church, after the First Afghan War of 1838, was consecrated in 1858 and work on the steeple was concluded in 1865. In the earlier days, the Afghan Church, used to garner a sizeable number of British officers for the Sunday morning sermon. More toward the southern tip of Colaba is the army cantonment area, which was established in 1796. Nearby is the R.C Church road and the school I attended - St. Joseph |

| Religion was almost a constant warning about immorality and constant pitfalls in life. I must say, although the fast-life which has been constantly glorified by the media, did little to deter us from what we believed. Apparently, my mother has always been the strongest influence for me. |
