Welcome you to

The Atherton Arms

FUNCTION ROOM, AVAILABLE BY ADVANCED BOOKING

Atherton Labour Club previously stood in St Johns Place having been built in 1922, but moved to Tyldesley Road in 1961, when Mayor Harold Boardman opened the new premises that had cost £30,000 to build.  Situated between what was then Church House and a Transport Garage the building was designed by Architect J.C.Prestwich of Leigh.

Following the closure of the club, the premises were bought by Holts in 1986, and following extensive renovations was reopened in June 1986 as the ATHERTON ARMS.
