Name: |
Anders Grimalkin |
|
Age: |
23 |
|
Gender: |
Male |
|
Heritage: |
Anders, to his own knowledge, is Muggle-born. |
|
House: |
After something of a struggle, the Sorting Hat finally placed Anders in Slytherin, where he never quite fit in. It was, perhaps, the burning hatred of his long-absent father that gave him that spark to be housed there - or perhaps the short fuse and frequently vicious displays of temper: Anders was well known for getting into fist fights. |
|
Wand: |
11" Cherry wood, unicorn hair. |
|
Magical Abilities: |
Undeniably and totally average; Anders never excelled at anything except Quidditch and the occasional shine in Transfiguration. He yearns to be better at things, but lacks attention span. |
|
Physical appearance: 6'4" tall with long, black hair and deep blue eyes, Anders is a
good looking young wizard who is totally unaware of the power his appearance
has over people. He is lanky of build and walks with a certain hesitant
stoop that is the only indication of his somewhat introverted personality.
He chooses mostly Muggle clothing having been raised amongst Muggles and has
a tendency to mis-match his clothing.
Family: Anders is the only child of Owen Grimalkin and Astrid Erikkson - a Welshman and a Swede respectively. He never knew his father, who abandoned Astrid before the child was born, but grew up with a deep loathing for the man. Astrid died when Anders was 18 years old, something he is still frequently depressed about. He retains pride that she saw him make a professional Quidditch team, but is glad that she never witnessed the 'trouble'. He has no living relatives that he knows of.Background: On leaving school, Anders, who had always shown exceptional talent on the Quidditch field, was offered an apprenticeship with the then virtually unheard of Cardiff Chargers. He accepted eagerly and trained hard. He was given his first professional game as a Chaser on his mother's birthday and she, even though she was a Muggle, was proud of her son's achievement. Sadly, Astrid died only three days later in what Anders still believes were 'mysterious circumstances', although his theories have never been proved. He continued playing Quidditch until only six months ago, when what he now refers to as 'the Incident' occured. 'The Incident' essentially involved a somewhat unpleasant altercation between Anders and a member of a visiting Quidditch team: an altercation that Anders won hands down. Unfortunately for him, a Daily Prophet reporter caught wind of the argument in the changing rooms and by morning, Anders, considered to be too volatile for the small club, was out of a job. In the last six months, he has been trying to straighten his life out, but so far hasn't found his calling. But that hasn't stopped him looking. Occupation: At the moment, Anders considers himself to be 'resting'. In other words, his notoriety is acting as something of a barrier to his finding suitable employment. He would very much like to get back into the Quidditch field again: either as a player, or perhaps even as a trainer - but so far his searches have borne no success. Motivations/Ambitions: Anders is driven by his anger and moments of inwardness. He tends to be difficult to break down; preferring to keep himself to himself and hiding behind a show of bravado that people find perplexing. One of his biggest ambitions is to track down the father he never knew; a father he presumes to be a Muggle. Other than that, he is something of an open book; possibly easily swayed to one cause or other. He also has a big heart and would put his life on the line for someone he trusts and cares for. Likes/Dislikes/Interests: Quidditch, naturally. Anders is an avid fan of the game to the point of obsession, although that obsession has waned somewhat with the passage of time and the Incident. He also has more than a passing fascination with Muggle machinery and the slow-dawning electronics industry. |
