Wizarding Intelligence 6 (WI6)
Official Record

Name:

Lindor McRill

Age:

21

Gender:

Male

Heritage:

Pureblood. His Father, Finnigan, worked in the Ministry of Magic... that is until he was discovered missing one day after a typical Muggle sighting of magic use. He went to investigate and just disappeared. Poor Lindor was in his last year at Hogwarts and his Mother, Edwina, held this news from him until after graduation. Though suspicions crept in his head when he saw his Mother sitting alone at the ceremony, it wasnÕt until later that he found out.

House:

Gryffindor

Wand:

Pegasus feather, yew wood, 13 inches

Magical Abilities:

Expert in Transfiguration, animagus - ferret, very well studied in the art of potions as well. Lindor never really got into the other classes much, though charms certainly interested him enough to study hard. Had he known his Father would one day just disappear, he would have studied harder in divination classes. Alas, woulda, coulda, shoulda... didna cut it now!

Physical appearance:

Lindor has silky soft, jet black hair which has never been cut, kept neatly braided at all times. He is clean shaven. His eyes are dark green, and twinkle with his mischievous nature. Standing a mere 5Õ6Ó and weighing just over 130 pounds, he is a slight figure, yet well proportioned. His handsome face sports a smile most of the time. His skin is pale, doubtless from the hours spent reading indoors and the fact that he always wears a robe over his clothes. High, soft, black brushed leather boots complete his attire, and he despises hats of all sorts resting on his head. (One of the worst things about going to Hogwarts was the sorting hat experience, and the stupid little black pointy hats he had to wear. More than one was victim to his spell practice.)

Family:

Lindor has a long and traditional past of Irish extended families, but he is an only child of Finnigan and Edwina McRill. He has more than one cousin who attended Hogwarts, or is there now. His Mother now lives back in Ireland with her sister, LindorÕs favorite aunt, Tillie. Edwina is not well, and keeps losing her wand these days. Aunt Tillie writes regularly about her condition, and Lindor always politely answers each one. Wouldna want a 'Howler' from that witch... no way!

Background:

A studious young man, Lindor did well the first few years at Hogwarts. He delved into Potions like he could never get enough, and showed a natural talent early on in Transfiguration. He was friendly enough, but so into his studies that he seldom had time for making friends. When he did, they were often put off by his strange sense of humor... especially those British kids.

He got into more than one fight, due to his short temper and tendency to lash out at those that teased or ridiculed him. He even got detention once for turning a fellow studentÕs shoes into puffy pink slippers during class, it also cost his house points.

His only true friend at school had been a Quidditch player, a chaser by the name of Angus MacCaun. He was from Scotland, a real brute, and was also in Gryffindor. They hit it off after Lindor offered to help Angus with his studies. From that point on, Lindor often made time to watch Quidditch practice and attended every game Angus played in. Angus now plays for a professional team somewhere in Europe, but they have lost contact recently.

After school, and his FatherÕs funeral, Lindor came back to work in the same Ministry his Father had. But his latent interest in Muggle artifacts found him working in that division, which seems fine for now. It gives him time to read and study all manner of interesting Muggle things.

Occupation:

Muggle Artifact Investigator, Ministry of Magic, London Office

Motivations/Ambitions:

Lindor seeks to find out what really happened to his Father. He also desires to be famous for making new potions. Now that he has a steady job, he seeks to make new friends, and is starting to see that there is more to life than study... thereÕs fun and adventure to be had. Then thereÕs this strange talk in the wizarding world these days, this interests him very much, though nobody could say why.

Likes/Dislikes/Interests:

Lindor likes reading, Quidditch, animals (he has a pet ferret and a talking parrot), dancing and singing, and has developed a taste for brandy, though he rarely gets snockered from it. He likes seafood and most other light cuisine, but shuns the heavier foods found in England. He has taken to eating often in Chinese restaurants and other foreign establishments.

One of LindorÕs favorite places is the zoo, and he is often found there, or in one of the parks around town, on his days off from work. He likes plays, but has not the patience to sit through most long ones. Music is a big attraction, and classical music fires his soul, so he attends symphonies when he can. He is partial to the folksy type songs of his Irish ancestors, and occasionally sits in pubs where such Gaelic tunes can be heard.

His driving interest however, is transfiguration. He sits around on many days trying to think up new things to change mundane things into, and different combinations of partial transfigurations. He also works on many potions, many of which are dismal - and sometimes dangerous - failures. But so far, nothing has been burned down nor blown up, so he keeps trying.

Lately he has taken to wondering around in the secret streets behind the Leaky Caldron, seeking clues as to what may have really happened to Finnigan, his Father.
