Background: Christopher's family has always proudly served their country. So it was no surprise that after passing out of Hogwarts he entered The Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst as a regular service cadet. After six months he was commissioned and posted, on request, to The Parachute Regiment where senior officers gave him excellent marks as a young officer. Review of his service and marks at Hogwarts by select members of The Committee for Defense indicated he was a likely candidate for 'Special Operations, Wizarding.' Christopher was offered a slot on one of the Army's teams which protected the UK against mystic threats. He happily accepted the duty.Since that time Christopher has served in many assignments all over the world. He has been especially praised for his work in Burma(The Darkling Incursion), in Northern Germany with The British Army of the Rhine(The Hamburg Spryggans) and on temporary assignment to Canada(Wendigos of the Yukon Territories). Promoted each time his name has come up on the list Christopher seems on the fast track for one day commanding non-conventional threats when Lt. Col Slim retires. In his spare time Christopher is a real fan of hiking, mountaineering and trout fishing. Though he has had many female friends there never seems to have been the One woman to capture his heart. Currently Christopher is on leave after returning from helping to clean up a nasty bit of Dark Magic in the former colony of Kenya. There, working with local witch doctors, he helped clear an area to be opened for farming of the ghost of a English big game hunter who continued to haunt the savanna after dying in a elephant stampede. He is more than ready for some quiet relaxation. Occupation: Officer, Army of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, defender of the Realm against Dark Forces. Motivations/Ambitions: Christopher's sole motivation is to do his duty well in protecting his people and their land. His ambition is to one day command Non-conventional forces and increase its size to make it even more able to do its job of protection. Likes/Dislikes/Interests: Christopher is a chocoholic from the first days of his childhood. He is rarely without a chunk of dark chocolate in his pocket. Even in the muggiest of weather he will prefer hot chocolate as a drink over all others. His taste in music is mostly classical with a real love of the period beginning with Beethoven and ending with 'those damn atonal fools' of the 1920's. He is a wide reader of military history and, oddly enough, of the new wave of science fiction writer just emerging in England. Christopher doesn't understand Rock and roll at all. All during his youth during the glory days of the Beatles and Rolling Stones he found himself completely baffled. He hates abstract painting, especially the 'formless nonsense of the Cubists. On the other hand he loves the Impressionists, especially Monet. Christopher is interested in history, all history but especially that of the UK from its very beginning with the tribes who erected Stonehenge to the present unsettled Cold War present. If he was not a soldier Christoper would be a teacher of History. |
