Physical appearance: Rytal is younglooking still - you wouldn't think the babyfaced
man were more than eighteen were you to glance at him. His height at 5'5"
and slight build add to this impression. He is agile - and even now has a
tendency to go hyper on you occasionally. He has a tendency occasionally to
flip over and walk on his hands instead just to see the looks on peoples
faces. He has a dark mop of hair, and grey eyes which can be either
sparkling with laughter or deadly serious, depending on the situation. He
dresses as if he'd just grabbed whatever was at the front of his wardrobe.

Family: Rosie and John Jlin are two perfectly normal muggles who after bringing up a son with a tendency to dive off in odd directions settled to the fact he was a wizard witthout too many problems. They believed he was going on another of his wild imagination trips at first. It took a while for them to get used to the fact that their son WAS a magicuser. Once they had absorbed that, they backed him all the way, and took out a large insurance policy against their home exploding with no logical explanation. (Well, no matter if magic was forbidden in the world of the Muggles.. they KNEW their kid..)
Background: Having had a remarkably happy and uneventful childhood, the death of his father in a magical research accident when he was 9 made Kai into a rather quiet young boy. He was sorted into Ravenclaw which had a lot to do with his intelligence and dilligence in study, but this was focused very much on the Medical and Healing arts. Kai's time at Hogwarts was pretty much uneventful - at least noticeably. He did help a fair few people out, but in such an unassuming fashion that it was rarely noted and certainly was never the subject of school acclaim or gossip. He was noted by some of his teachers as being very intelligent but he was also the type of student who quietly got on with it so he was rarely the first to come to mind. He did spend a fair amount of time investigating the Infirmary as that was his hobby of choice. Quidditch he enjoyed but could not be said to be a really good player as he lacked the drive though he played a reasonable Keeper position. When he graduated he went direct into medi-mage training, taking opportunities to train and field positions that sent him all over the world. The sheer necessity of working in unfamiliar surrounding forced Kai to become less reclusive and more comfortable with making decisions, and in some of the more far flung area's he has had some interesting experiences and picked up a lot of interesting techniques. He returned to England and completed his training, becoming fully qualified and at this current point is time is a bit lost as what exactly what to do with himself. At the moment he is staying around Diagon Alley, doing some freelance work whilst he considers whether he should try and purue a career as a standard medi-mage, go into research, or ...whatever.
Occupation: Medi-mage /Healer Motivations/Ambitions: Kai is a "fixer" in that he has an urge to try and fix situations that he comes across. It's an extension of his interest in healing and has lead to him gradually getting involved in things he might not ordinarily have been sucked into. He is very ethical, but in a healer that means he is ethically bound to assist anyone, regardless of affliation. Which could prove tricky! In terms of ambition, Kai does have one major ambition which is probably a secret ambition of many healers. He knows it's not realistic but when do dreams have to be that? He wants to find a counter to the Avada Kedavra curse. But he suspects to work on that, he would have to go into Magical Research and he's not sure he could totally give up normal medical magic to do so. Likes/Dislikes/Interests: Primarily Healing magic, though he has a great memory for random trivia as he likes learning for the sake of learning. Like many Mudbloods, he has a strong familiarity with Muggle methods, and perhaps a good deal of respect for somethings muggle related. He reads a lot and finds anything to do with healing fascinating. He also likes magical animals but that really is a random interest, and it's slightly bizzare as he doesn't have a familiar at the moment having lost his last in the far east. |
