Bowls is a sport for all ages. Founded in 1930, we are a friendly local club that welcomes beginners and seasoned bowlers alike. Currently we have around 90 members, both men and women, and are always looking for more. If you would like to come along and try the sport, we can always lend you a set of woods to try it out - all you need is a pair of flat soled shoes. There is no joining fee; if you enjoy your trial session you only pay a £50 flat fee for the year and you can play as much as you like! If, after a month, you decide that the sport is not for you then we will give you your money back, no questions asked.

Under 16s are very welcome, and the yearly fee is a measly £10 a year. Can't say fairer than that, and there's usually someone around to offer some free coaching if you want!

The green is open every day, with many matches played against other clubs in Kent. For beginners and those who enjoy just a social game, roll-up sessions are held on Monday and Thursday afternoons and Tuesday and Thursday evenings, while experienced players can take part in the competitive Shepway League.
