About us

Scherpenheuvel basilica

We live in Scherpenheuvel, a small market town which is Belgium's most frequented pelgrimage place. From all over the country and even beyond people come here to pray to a miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary. The basilica, concecrated in 1627, represents the first Baroque building in what was then the Southern Netherlands.
