Three weeks later, just out of Puppy Class, she won BOB and Group 3rd at Brussels. The following weekend saw her winning 1st in Junior and Res. CAC at the Dutch Spaniel Club Ch Show. Two months after that she won her first CAC, the first in a long row. By the time she had reached the minimum age for dogs to be able to gain champion status in Holland, which is 27 months, she had already amassed 13 CAC's, being more than 3 times the required number, and 4 Res. CAC's. Topsy gained her crown in fine style at the Amsterdam Winner where she went BOB and Group 4th. As far as we know (no official records) she now ranks among the all time top 5 ECS's in Holland. On October 24th 1998 she rounded off her Dutch campaign in a tremendous way by winning her 22nd CAC at the Utrecht International All Breeds Ch Show and topping it with a BOB, BIG, BIS5 and Best Bred By Exhibitor In Show. On February 22th 1999 she delighted us with a litter of 4 (all males) by our U.K. import Alisma Highlander (also known as Blue). And 5 months later, on July 25th, she returned to the ring at the Sporting Spaniel Association's Championship Show (Belgium) to pick up the thread where she had left it, winning the CAC under breed specialist Ed Simpson (Coltrim). On May 19th 2003, at the age of nearly 8 years Topsy came out of semy retirement to win the Res. CAC at the Belgian English Cocker Club's Ch Show under Mrs Sue Young (Canyonn) and 2 weeks later the CAC and Reserve BIS at the Ch Show of the Dutch Spaniel Club under Wim Wellens. On May 2nd 2004 she won the CAC and BIS at the Belgian English Cocker Club's Championship Show under breed specialist David Shields (Wilholme) and again 2 weeks later she repeated the previous year's remarkable achievement at the Dutch Spaniel Club's Ch Show, this time under Andrew Jones (Shenmore).
