  4. What do you expect to find?
  5. Why do you expect to find this result?
  6. What, in ONE SENTENCE is your hypothesis?
  7. How can you test this hypothesis as stated?
  8. What specialist information or knowledge will you need?
  9. Where will you get it?
  10. How will you standardise your results? (i.e. eliminate variables that might interfere with or invalidate the result).
  11. Exactly what equipment and resources will you need?
  12. Are they available?
  13. Should you carry out a PILOT STUDY?
  14. How many readings should you take?
  15. What risks are involved in this study and how will you control them?
  16. Have you checked your proposed procedure against the marking criteria for ‘Planning’ to make sure you maximise your marks?
