LATEST REPORTS Please note, that with the end of the Brown Trout season on 6th October, a section of the fishery now allows bait fishing for Rainbows and Blue Trout till the 15th of March 2004 when the loch reverts back to 'fly only'. The bait fishing stretch has recently been extended, however the size of the water and the quality of the bank access still allows plenty of scope for the fly fishermen. Latest successful methods: Diwall Bach in various styles, Harelugs, Spiders are all mentioned by the most successful anglers, although Green and white Cat's Whisker and Red/Orange headed Damsel fished below Kate McLaren and Bibio's etc fished fairly fast also have their rewards. Top areas include The Moyne, North shore, 2nd and 3rd Dam walls, Twin Points, Polloks shore The Tank and around the islands. Since Opening the rod average has been steady at 2.65 fish per angler.
