Bristol Chamber Orchestra gave a superb performance to a capacity crowd at the Princes Hall in Clevedon. The programme of music included Mozart’s Symphony No 40 in G minor and his Overture to the marriage of Figaro and Beethoven’s Symphony no 1 in C major – all beautifully played. The orchestra was very ably led by Robert Pinnegar and conducted by Roger Huckle. The star turn of the evening was a scintillating performance of Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto by soloist Colin Bloch and was preceded by a talk about the instrument. The concert was a charity affair in aid of the Community Association Refurbishment Fund.
