What we did in April 2006...
Easter
Most of this month we were on our Easter Holiday. We hope everyone had a great time and didn't eat too much Chocolate!
Right Here, Right Now
Our first meeting back this term we had an introduction to the Right Here, Right Now programme. The Brownies are very excited about this. This week the girls learnt about rights and in their sixes decided which right to save from a sinking boat. The answers were all excellent:
Pixies saved the right to have FOOD as they decided this was important in order to live.
Imps saved the right to have an EDUCATION as they decided this would teach them how to grow food, clean water, and learn to understand other rights.
Kelpies saved the right to SAFETY as they wanted to know that they were safe to live where they wanted
Gnomes saved the right to WATER as they decided this was important in order to live.
This term we will be completing some of the Right to be Me challenges.
