What we did in December 2004...
Christmas Show

This month we put on our Christmas Show - A Brownie Christmas.
The story was about a young girl who hears Brownies Carol singing at her home. She invites them in for a drink and they start to look through some of her books, a fairy tale book, nursey ryhme book and a nativity book. The girl wants to join Brownies and asks the girls to tell her about them. As they read the books they see Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Little Red Riding Hood all needing help. The Brownies Lend a Hand to each of them. Next they see Little Bo-Peep, and, Mary Mary. The Brownies Lend a Hand to them too. Finally they see Twinkle Twinkle little Star who need a polish and tells them that she is the star of Bethlehem. The girl decides that Brownies is fun and as they sing the Brownie Song the Nativity scene appears with the wise men and shepherds arriving to see baby Jesus.
The show went well and we had a great turn out of families to watch the production. All the girls gained their Entertainer Interest Badge.
After changing back into their uniforms the Brownies sang a couple more Christmas songs before the end of year prize giving took place.

District Carol Service
This month we also joined with other members in our District for a Carol service. At the service we performed the final Carol from our show - O Little Town of Bethlehem (including the clarinet accompaniment from our musician Brownie). 9 Brownies attended the Carol Service and did a great job singing in front of the rest of the District.
