What we did in January 2005...

New Year

This month we will have a pow-wow to plan our terms activities. We will be including something for Thinking Day, and writing replies to our pen-pals in Canda.

We started the new year with a fun evening of new year games and champagne toasts - grape juice and lemonade - (courtesy of an idea in Guiding Magazine). the Brownies enjoyed playing the games and the drink was served in champagne flutes.

This year our numbers have increased enough to re-open our fourth six - IMPS.

Pen Pals

We were all delighted to receive a package from 2nd Parksville Brownies in Canada. All the Brownies had their own letter and photograph from a Canadian Brownie. We have all written our replies and the are now in the post to our pen pals. We have exchanged Badge syllabus with the Canadian Brownies. They have been working towards their Brownie Traditions Badge. Next month we are going to start our All About Canada Badge.

Brownie Magazine

January 2005 Edition of the Brownie Magazine had a feature about the 4th WGC Brownies and the Milepost we painted in June 2004 .

Brown Owl managed to get a copy for everyone who took part.

Badges

1 Brownie has gained her Dancers Badge this month - Well Done.
