This month we have continued to work towards our Out and About Interest Badge.This month Brownies have been looking at how to pack a rucksack and what to wear when out and about. They have also been learning to use maps and compasses. Hopefully they will complete the badges when we return in September.
End of Term Activity Evening
For the end of term we went out to Harmergreen Scout Camp and joined with the 11th W.G.C Guide Company. In the woods the Brownies did various challenges. They had tried to recognise as many different trees as possible, tried cooking blackbirds and Jam Twists on a camp fire and laid trails for each other using tracking signs. We also had 3 Brownies make their Promise and ended the evening with a campfire.
