It was the first Open Meeting that Terry Clark and Peter Kerr had run (the Nats at Wildfield has been run by BSCRA race controllers). They rapidly got to grips with running this style of meeting, and the speed of the track calls were particularly impressive - the fastest I've seen frequently turning off the power before the shout and on occasions the power was off while the car was still in mid air! I can do no better than quote John Wells
"A big thank you to Terry, his wife, Peter and Toby for their hospitality at Wildfields this weekend. Running their first BOC was never going to be easy but with Terry's calm but authorative approach and Toby's lightening quick reactions at race control made for a good weekends racing, not even WC was able to phase them!

What about the racing?
Brian Saunders won all 3 - congratulations - he's won 2 out of 3 at Round 1 but this was the first time he'd managed to win all 3. Another very notable performance was Vince Lee with by far his best performance at this level - particularly the second overall in Eurosport. This maximum score gave Brain the British Open Champion for the third year running. All the other Championship positions are still wide open - see you at the final round (at Tomacher Raceway on 14/15 December).

The gear looks fresh because it has only done a few minutes running - Brian used 3 in the final! It looks like the interior is about to depart from the body.
