Fishing Tails - The Diaries of Andy SpreadburyI have put together some of the Posts which have apperared on Maggotdrowning .Com Folks on there seemed to like them so I thought I'd make them available to a wider audience and also include a few more photographs than is appropriate for a public Forum; it'll save cluttering up their server. This page will be updated from time to time so it's worthwhile coming back occasionally to see what's new. References to The RIP - mean The River In Picardie. My good friend Phil Baker found this location and wants to keep it secret for as long as possible. So do I. We firmly believe however it is typical of the unfished carp rivers that abound throughout France and can be fished for only the price of a Carte de Peche available from any french town. If you are prepared to suffer a disastrous trip or two in searching for an unknown location to fish, you could well be finding yourself a little 'Paradise' which is yours and yours alone. There is just so much water out there. The thing is, no-one is going to give it to you but if you look hard enough and apply the sort of persistence you do in your carp-fishing - to the finding of fishable water, the effort involved will be more than rewarded in big fish, solitude, and unrivalled excitement! Not all my fishing is for carp however, an obsession which comes and goes at various times is Bream - BIG Bream! I'm talking fish of double figures. I have yet to catch one of that size although I have fallen short by only one ounce on two separate occasions!
