‘Musings of a well seasoned tandem driver’ - or how I got started in tandems, by David Taylor
Follow the link

Welcome to the newly launched Tandem Drivers Web Site. Here I will try to keep you up-to-date with any matters pertaining to tandems. Please register your name and details. I apologise that at present this is slightly cumbersome at present, but will work on a more “automated” method. The register will be helpful in assessing the interests and needs of tandem drivers as well as their numbers. It will also be a message board to pass information to and from your class representative if you compete in Horse Driving Trials and allow in-put from club level and not just the National competitors.
Please also feel free to send in any pictures of Tandems or Randem's - please give credit to any professional photographer and ensure that you have any permission for the photo to be published on this web site. I hope to include pictures of things going amiss (it does occasionally go a bit pear-shaped fort tandems) as well as just tandems on best behaviour.
I would also like to hear any comments and opinions on vehicle design and accidents in order to collate information (a bit like a Which Report survey) which may in due course be of value and help eliminate bad design features. An example would be problems having front brakes on four-wheelers.
I shall also publish a list of competitions open to tandems and with your help find out which club and national classes are well supported by tandems - this may then influence which events to enter if you want more competition.
Please also send in any articles or stories that you think mat interest viewers of this site.
Finally I shall be very pleased to hear any suggestions for inclusions to go onto this site.

David J W Taylor.
