Welcome Visitor To Our Website

Colinton and Currie Pipe Band was originally founded in 1887 and we are reputed to be one of the oldest Civilian Pipe bands in the country. We sport the Ancient Mackenzie Tartan and wear full Highland dress at all band engagements.

The band practise every Wednesday at Currie Rugby Club between 7 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. We provide free tuition in either the pipes or the drums, where you would be taught the rudiments from beginner onwards, depending on your level of experience. Please complete the Recruitment page if you are interested in joining the band.

The band play at various functions through out the year including corporate and private gatherings. These have included several trips to France and Northern Europe.
