Nicola was far from finished following up her golden success with a silver medal in the 100M Backstroke event in a time of 1.14.82.and  a silver medal in the 200M Backstroke in a time of 02:47.41. Overall at the end of the individual championships Cheam Ladies were lying 15th. Text Box: Apart from Nicola there was an excellent swim from Alice Rogers who gained overall points for Cheam finishing in 7th place in the 12 Year Old 100M Butterfly event in a time of 1:18:31 There was also an 8th place for 10 Year old Rebecca Hedges also in the 50M Backstroke event smashing her PB by 4 seconds finishing in 39.38 seconds. She had worked tirelessly over many years for the good of Cheam Ladies and helped to carry the club Text Box: forward.  She will be greatly missed, and we wish her every happiness for the future. We also have seen the departure of Sarah Phillips who swam for the club for many years & we thank her for all of Text Box: her hard efforts as team captain. We also wish the new committee members & swimming representatives success in their new roles. Text Box: 2005 sees Nicola Jelley as Club Captain.  The Committee feels a Vice Captain could help to motivate the swimmers & provide able assistance.  A list of perspective candidates its being drawn up & vote amongst the swimming membership will be arranged in due course.
