Coalville Light Orchestra on a Tuesday evening

Ted is the conductor

The COALVILLE  LIGHT  ORCHESTRA is an amateur orchestra which meets weekly

It plays light classical music in a relaxed environment just for the pleasure of it

Unlike many amateur orchestras,  it does not give public performances so its members
can enjoy playing without the spotlights, an audience and intensive rehearsal schedules

It is an organisation that does not take itself too seriously - and is inexpensive!

Our members have a wide range of ages and musical ability

Ideal for those returning to playing after a break or wishing to try playing with an orchestra for the first time

What:

An extensive library of light classical music; members bring their own instruments - except the pianist!

When:

Tuesday evenings from 7:15 - 8:45 pm  (except during any school holidays between October and May)

Music room, Newbridge High School, Forest Road, Coalville, Leics    Map

Just one of the things we play

Who was it that didn't tune to my A ?

I'm not very old but I can make the most noise :-)I get all those difficult solo parts!Wasn't me responsible for that earthquake, honest!

I get the parts that nobody else wants

- dum de dum de dum de dum

I'm sure Ted's given me the oboe part

Fiddles galore!

Well someone's got to keep 'em in time
