This guide to the plants of Ecuador comprises photographs taken by Dr. Morley Read during many expeditions to different sites in Ecuador. This site is currently being re- designed. Formerly this site only covered the flora of the Guayllabamba drainage (the section of the Inter-Andean Valley where Quito is situated) but the new site will cover the whole of Ecuador. Many of the family links below still correspond to the old Flora of Ilalo site, but they are increasingly being replaced by new photo galleries (those which have been replaced are marked with an *).
The redevelopment of this site is being funded by money raised by Mr &
Mrs A.S.M. Read who opened their garden at Readymoney Cove, Fowey during the
2005 Daphne DuMaurier Week.
