Dates of Occupations are as at source date: e.g. as on Marriage document or childs Birth document.
County and London boundaries and definitions have changed since the 18th. and 19th. centuries.
Places of Birth or Christening from various IGI sources and Censuses may not be accurate!
We have discovered that people often put the nearest town to their birth place (if a small country village),
and therefore the same person may appear to come from two places. This has occured in the Appledore and Northam areas.
Sometimes they record the place where they were living (this has occured in the London Boroughs).
Places of Birth and Marriages from FreeBMD are the Registration Districts.
Remember that mistakes are made and the data you collect from ANY web source, including family sites and links, or Census data, could contain errors: including this one!
We have found this out on several family members because we have source or copies of source documents.
We always state the data sources and if any errors are spotted we request that you let us know.
I (R) think that everyone should state sources and why they think that a person is their ancestor if there may be doubt.
Then we would not go round in circles, by assuming someones data is 100% correct, and others just copying it, etc.

You may have found references in your name descendant or name ancestor search to our old web pages. The old root directories are still available, so just delete the file name and go to its root directory. Amend as follows:- The latest name root directories are "name" in format, (without the quotes)[not name'd' or name'des', without the quotes].
American Cousins
Perhaps you can help us trace a Family Tree
(ROBSON, McLEAN, Reid, Ball, Hoy, possibly),
sent to America before the late 1930's by my great grandmother, Margaret Anne HOY (nee REID).
Whoever had it would have had relatives in the Newcastle (UK) area, I think.
We would be grateful for a copy, please.
(ROBSON, Robert (b. a1845) had a wife who unfortunately died near childbirth and her sons descendants may have been sent the family tree.
