...that Charlie's favourite perfume was "Mitsouko"? It was released by Guerlain in 1919 and he is said to have used it since 1922. According to his eldest son, Charles jun., CC's bathroom in his house in Summit Drive always smelt of Mitsouko. Charles jun. once said that he always knew when his father was standing behind him because he could smell his perfume. An other anecdote says that Peggy Hopkins Joyce, whom Charlie had a liaison with in the early 1920s, used to "sprinkle his Mitsouko around the house on Beechwood Drive to improve the atmosphere" (Robinson 350). The fragrance mainly consists of benzoin and musk. It can be used by both men and women. I actually bought it recently and I can tell you that it smells gorgeous! :-)
