Upcoming "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" director David Yates commented recently that he has had difficulty in securing permission to film a specific scene for the movie: "I want to do a great big wizard chase past the London landmarks and it is going to be very exciting, but it has not been easy to set up."
Also J.K. Rowling, has updated the News section of her site. She has quashed rumours regarding leaked information, regarding the deaths in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
EA Games, makers of the Harry Potter video games, recently showcased the upcoming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire video game at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles. It features Harry flying through those rings, like the ones we saw in Quidditch practice in previous versions of the games, only this time he has to contend with a pesky fire-breathing creature chasing after him. :) This new footage shows much of the grounds in and around Hogwarts. HPANA Have published Hi Res pictures of the Scholastic, and Bloomsbury book covers for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
This is the first clue we have, as to what might happen in the book, (Released 16th of July).
Two stories for you today
The first is a story that was featured on CBBC Newsround. The report taken from HPANA Gives us new information on the casting, of The Order of the Phoenix. here is also a picture of Henry Lloyd Hughes, who will be playing Roger Davies.
Also on HPANA. Rupert Grint, is helping to raise money for Comic Relief, by playing Dick and Dom's Bogies game. He won his game, by shouting "Bogies" the loudest, in the National Portrait Gallery, in London.
The recent snowfall over the UK and Scotland, has caused a slowdown, in filming scenes that follow those shot last spring, thus causing continuity problems.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, has won two awards from the Visuaal Effect Society.
"Prisoner" won awards for. Outstanding Performance by an Animated Character, in a live action motion picture" for Buckbeak and the effects team, won "Outstanding Visual Effects" in a visual effects motion picture
Congratulations to the FX team at Warner Brothers.
Amazon UK blames Voldemort for erronious E Mail. It would seem, that Voldemort has recruited new Death Eaters, working for Amazon.
People oredering the new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book, recieved an e mail, informing them that the book would not, be available and to look elsewhere. This has also happened to US customers. Amazon have apologised, for the blunder, and are sending "Howlers" to those resposible.
Various sites Harry Potter fan sites, have this, and not wanting to be lest out I thought I'd put it up to.
There is a new Hi-res picture of a scan from The Daily Telegraph of Harry looking into the golden egg, from the new GoF movie on TLC
Also Jamie Waylet, who plays Vincent Crabbe, in the Harry Potter movies, has updated his website Diary. In it, he says that he has fractured his wrist. To read his diary, click here

This long awaited announcement came as an early Christmas present to fans, who had been anticipating the news to break on Christmas day.

New Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban StampsÔ
to be released by Isle of Man Post on December 7th 2004
(Douglas, Isle of Man) Harry Potter and his Hogwarts friends will soon be making their official premiere on postage stamps with worldwide rights. The famous boy wizard and his cohorts will soon be appearing on a new series of postage stamps being released on Tuesday 7th December 2004 by Isle of Man Post.
Coinciding with the DVD release of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanÔ, these official postage stamps have been approved by Her Majesty The Queen and Warner Bros. Entertainment and are to be made available for fans and collectors worldwide.
The colourful set of eight postage stamps will feature scenes from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.Ô Included are images of Harry Potter, his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, plus Hagrid, the Hogwarts gamekeeper. Also prominent will be the
Owl Post, the method by which mail is delivered to wizards in the world of Harry Potter.
Dot Tilbury, Manager of the IOM Philatelic Bureau, said, “The Harry Potter phenomenon has captured the imaginations of children and adults of all ages, the world over. With this thrilling new postal series, we hope to create a whole new generation of stamp collectors and letter writers.”
