Turn the plug with the pins facing upwards and using a screwdriver remove the large central screw. Place the screw and the top cover of the plug in a safe place. Remove the two cord grip screws and place these and the cord grip piece of plastic also in a safe place.

Turn the plug over with the connection terminals facing upwards. Slacken the screws which are fitted to each of the connection terminals (slacken them just far enough to enable the wire copper conductor from the cord to be easily pushed in.)

Take the cable to which the plug is to be fitted. Remove 50mm of outer sheath. Be careful NOT to cut into the insulation of the inner conductors. Present the cable to the plug as shown below.

Grip the cable and plug so the cores are roughly in their final positions. Lay the Red/Brown core over the “L” terminal and cut it to length. Strip 10mm of insulation from the Red/Brown core and twist the strands. Place the end into the “L” terminal and tighten the screw.

Place the cord grip over the cable sheath and tighten the 2 screws. Lay the Blue/Black core over the “N” terminal and cut it to length. Strip 10mm of insulation from the Blue/Black core and twist the strands. Place the end into the “N” terminal and tighten the screw.

Lay the green and yellow core over the “E” terminal and cut it to length. Strip 10mm of insulation from the Green/Yell. core and twist the strands. Place the end into the “E” terminal and tighten the screw. Insert the correct rated fuse. Fit the cover and tighten the cover screw
