DEEWAKAR		Known for the steel Industry Durgapur is sometimes known as the "Ruhr of Asia".It is among the leading steel cities of India ranking at par with Jamshedpur and Bhilai.It is located at the banks of river Damodhar and is 168 kilometres north-west of Kolkata.The National Highway No.2 which connects the East India with the west passes through the Heart of Durgapur. Durgapur has over two hundred Industries, Two Universities and around ten Colleges.

TSHETEN		THE DURGAPOREANS is the circle of the Bhutanese students studying in National Institute of Technology Durgapur.Presently we are Twelve in number, eleven boys and a girl.Our fields include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.Our Details and Interests are included in our personal Homepages linked with this page.

All Bhutanese students of NIT Durgapur back to college after Summer Vacation. Electrical Guys get the Project for the Final Year. All Bhutanese students shifted to the new Hostels - Computers' to Hall-5 and Electricals and Electronics at Hall-4. NIT Durgapur forms .NET Users society and Open Source Forum. IBM India to support the proposed Linux Campus Club at Various Institutions in India. Any College comprising of 3 faculties and 50 students can join.
