" HOBSON'S CHOICE "

Salford at the end of the 19th century and Henry Hobson owns a successful boot shop - but it's eldest daughter Maggie who runs the shop ..... and the Hobson household .....whilst Henry drinks in the local with his friends. When Henry refuses to make settlements on his younger daughters, Maggie decides to take matters into her own hands and Henry Hobson is faced with his own ' Hobson's Choice'.

I JOIN ?
Turn up at one of our rehearsals. We currently rehearse on Tuesday and
Sunday at 7.30pm and Friday at 8.00pm. All rehearsals are in the Community Hall
on Memorial Road in Walkden but occasionally our rehearsals times do change so
contact us first to check when we're at the Hall. Email us on edgefoldplayers@yahoo.co.uk
and we'll contact you to
let you know when our next rehearsal is and arrange for one of the group to meet
you there and show you around
BUT WHAT IF I' VE NO
THEATRE EXPERIENCE ?
We're all learning all the time - and you can bet there's something YOU
can teach US even if you don't know it yet !
BUT I'M NOT SURE THAT I
WANT TO ACT......
Don't worry about it.......obviously we need actors but we also need people
who know how to wield a hammer, a sewing machine, a paintbrush,or a screwdriver.
We need people who can help with publicity,those
interested in set design, people who want to work on the Box Office .........if
you've got a talent, we'll find a use for it. So don't worry if you really
don't want to act, we still want you. BUT BE WARNED, we've seen it all before,
lots of people who say they 'don't want to act' and before you know it
they've caught the bug and you can't get them off the stage !!
