In The Studio: Holes In The Wall

Leading the charge of young British bands looking to make a mark in 2001 are Brighton-based brothers Tom and Alex White, aka the Electric Soft Parade. Still in their teens, they write mutant pop songs full of grungey guitars with deft pyschedelic touches and sweeping vocals. The suitably sleazy production is by Mark Frith and Chris Hughes, who helemed Tom McRae's debut. They've obviously been listening to Teenage Fanclub, The Verve and The Strokes, and titles include "It's Wasting Me Away", "Biting The Soles Of My Feet" and "Sleep Alone".
