Here are some ideas and suggestions from myself and also from the message board. I hope that collating them all together will be useful to you all.
If anyone has any more ideas which I could include, please let me know either on the message board or by e-mail.

Some children may respond to working to a daily chart like this one which my son uses on school days. He is responsible for checking his pants and circling whether they were wet or dry. If wet he has to change himself. We have had great success with this, if he visits the toilet at all the times he should, then most days he is dry all day. Feel free to copy and adapt this to suit your own circumstances.

DIET - Some parents have found that diet has a
direct effect on their child's continence. Problems arise
from the following :
Caffeine - as in tea, coffee and Cola
Blackcurrant Juice

TOILET POSITION - I have read a couple of postings on the forum suggesting this possible solution for little girls who do not completely empty their bladders when urinating. Sit them backwards on the toilet (i.e. facing the cistern).

VIBRATING WATCH - Some children just need a reminder to visit the toilet (in theory anyhow!!). Try the vibrating watch found on this website which some parents have found successful. www.epill.com
