It appears yesterday 2nd. July, that were at least 2 persons in your area selling pictures.
They both stated that they were Polish and were deaf.
Although I am sure that there may be genuine deaf Polish persons selling door to door, I am also sure that there are persons doing the same who are NOT genuine.
NEVER let unknown callers at your door into your house. Remember the goods MAY be stolen, or poor quality, or as a ploy for you to buy something you do not want because of the "sympathy with their deafness"
If you have similar callers please try and remember their description, any vehicle if possible, and report it immediately to the police. tell them you are Neighbourhood Watch and ask for a STORM incident number
Please warn your neighbours to be aware, especially if they are elderly or infirm.

COLTON/span>
At 11.10 am today (Saturday 19th), 2 unknown men visited a property
at Fishers Pitt, Bromley Wood, offering to sell a 'brand new' three piece
suite, which they just happened to have ...
They were driving a white Transit van reg: no Y179 EOT, and the one who
came to the door was MALE AVERAGE HEIGHT, BLUE EYES, DARK HAIR - GOOD LOOKING.
This could possibly be the same white transit van reported on Friday 18th
in and around Colton, ostensibly looking for scrap metal and batteries
(but possibly doing a Friday reconnaissance for a weekend return).
Although the registration number on the Colton sighting was different (P
350 AEL), it's not unusual for "travellers" to swap vehicles and/or number
plates to enable them to claim they were in a different place at the time
of a crime.
