Physical appearance:
Small and slim, with dark red hair falling to her waist. Her face is pixyish with a high fragile bone structure that makes her look delicate. Her eyes are large with a pure dark indigo colour highlighted by the golden brown ring around her pupil. Her skin is a pale white (the kind that burns but doesn't tan). Her robes are almost always black or a dark blue.
Background:
Sylvan's parents are very, very dead, and have been for quite some time.
She was ward of the Ministry of Magic for a long time and spent most of her Hogwarts holidays with her friend Rosemund Snape.
When Rosemund disappeared, she spent her holidays at Hogwarts.
Time at School:
She spent her time at school immersed not only in the library but in the depths of the grounds, she'd been reclusive more out of shyness than her wish.
After losing Rosemund in her fourth year, she wasn't quite sure how to go about making new friends, or whether she was prepared to take the risk of caring again. So she studied and hid, taking time in her holidays to study the Muggle martial arts, she graduated with better than average grades in everything that she studied.
Time after School:
After school she decided to do a little amateur detective work on the subject of her friend.
What she found gave her eyes all the shadows she'd ever need and cemented her firmly on the light side of the line. She refuses discuss what she had found with anyone, and still suffers from screaming nightmares on the subject.
