Born George Harrison (25/2/1943) The youngest Beatle son of Louise and Harold. George has two brothers Harold and Peter and has a sister Louise. His is the only childhood which contained a nuclear family throughout. As a child he and his brother formed a band the 'Rebels'. In 1965 George met Ravi Shanker and became a pupil of the sitar and became very interested in the culture and spiritual values of India In 1966 he married his first wife Pattie Boyd, and in 1971 he organised a concert for Bangla Desh at Madison Square Garden and appeared with Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton who later wrote a song about Boyd. In the 80's George enjoyed success with the Travelling Wilbury's working with Dylan again and also Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. George is now married to Olivia and has a son Dhani. |
