Recycling of sheer fabrics, found objects, especially metal and plastics, are the key inspiration for Denise's burnt and distressed work. Foreign cultures and ancient history are a constant source of exploration.
Originally trained in interior design at Portsmouth College of Art and Design, her love of art and the needle has led her to textiles.
