I have been interested in textile art for many years and have had some inspirational teachers. I studied Part 1 and 2 of the City and Guild's Course at Fareham College.
I have exhibited in four exhibitions since joining Force 8.
Natural elements have always fascinated me, especially the way that nature always takes over if given the chance. It is so interesting to see what happens to old walls, aged trees and castle ruins when nature takes a hold. The colours, shapes and textures sometimes look like complete works of art in their own right. Better than anything I can invent.
I enjoy the challenge of trying to create a new piece. It does not come easy to me but I enjoy the struggle.
I tend to make largish pieces in simple designs and colours and favour both hand stitching and machine embroidery.
