This drawing shoews the Prussian garde storing the barricade at thewestern entrance to St. Privat (at the point where the road from St. Marie-aux-Chênes enters the village). It gives an idea of the violent close-quarter fighting which took place through the village when the Prussians and Saxons broke into it in the evening.
