Prussian Pontoon Wagon
The photograph shows a loaded pontoon wagon. Each Armee Corps had its own Ponton Kolonne, which would have enough pontoons to bridge any river the corps might need to cross.
The pontoons were carried on wagons designed specifically for that purpose.
