Prussian Train in Action
This drawing by Knötel shows the Prussian Train in action. The wagon is
carrying a load of timber, a commodity for which there would be a great demand in the field,
it being required for siege works, field defences, buildings, and bridges among other things.
Supplying these and other needs would require a flexible organisation, with vehicles and
personnel required to be available where and when necessary.
